Equipment

The equipment listed below is meant to give our visitors an idea of what equipment is available and could be considered as tools to obtain for your virtual museum project. It is NOT meant to be advertising for specific equipment or software.

Start small! We started with one digital camera and a turntable we made at a 4Directions workshop. Grants, school and community support, and many hours of work have gotten us where we are today.

If I was a teacher interested in implementing this type of project for my classroom, I would start with a digital camera, a tripod, a turntable, some black felt material and VR software. I personally like VRWorx because it is easy to use, affordable, and school packages include curriculum/lesson plans.

I would enjoy hearing from other schools/teachers who are creating virtual museums and similar projects. Please email me about your project.
